Warp Films is an independent UK film production company based in Sheffield and London with an office in Melbourne. Submarine is written by Joe Dunthorne and directed by Richard Ayoade in his debut film. It premiered at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival. The film depicts the story of 15 year old Oliver Tate and his objectives to lose his virginity and disrupt his mother's relationship with an ex-lover. It was filmed in locations in Wales and had a limited release in the US in 2011.
