PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Versa Networks – San Jose, California - Software Engineer Intern March ’15- Present
CGNAT – Implemented a test plan for precedence matching for all options in the CGNAT feature in the Versa NFV software. Tested
the functionality of NAPT, Basic NAT, Dynamic NAT and Destination NAT.
DHCP – Designed and Implemented a test plan to test the functionality of the DHCP feature of the Versa appliance. Tested the match
criteria for address allocation as well as the DHCP options allocation. Testing was also done on the DHCP relay feature of the
appliance.
FIREWALL- Implemented a test plan for firewall on versa appliance. This was an extension to the existing test plan. Tested for
layer 3 and layer 4 match conditions for allowing, denying and rejecting traffic.
Distributed Denial of Service – Designed and implemented a test plan for the distributed denial of service protection feature on the
appliance. Generating high volume traffic using various open source tools like HPING3, MZ, etc. and testing the response on the
appliance.
ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Resource Provisioning: Currently working on resource provisioning for virtual routers on an X86 platform and activating a spare
virtual router when the primary router is overloaded. The topology is implemented on a KVM hypervisor. (Fall '15)
SIP Client Implementation: Implemented a SIP client using the PJSIP api on python. The feature could call a client connected to
an asterisk server. It could also receive and hang up on call. For this feature to work, the asterisk server was also suitably
configured. (Spring '15)
Socket Programming: Using the Java programming language, designed and implemented a socket program that will enable a user
to upload photos to the web server back end. Using the php programming language, designed and implemented a web server
backend that will enable the Java client side program to upload and save photos on a web server and replicate the files to other
servers using curl. (Fall '14)
Wireless security – Denial of Service: Launched DoS attacks by sending deauthentication and disassociation packets from rouge
clients on WiFi networks using scapy. (Fall '14)
Routing Configuration: Configured a multiarea OSPF on GNS3, performed route summarization between areas, had areas
configured with different configurations like standard, stub, totally stubby and not so stubby, studied the LSA and LSD between
routers and rigged DR and BDR elections. (Spring '14)

Juniper Innovation Event: Automated the troubleshooting of the misconfiguration of CLOS-Fabric networks made with Juniper
switches
