1. Voter Eligibility in Georgia
You must meet certain eligibility requirements to register to vote in
Georgia. You can register if you are:
A United States citizen.
A legal resident of a Georgia county.
At least 17 ½ years old.
You must be 18 years old before or on Election Day.
You may register any time up to the 5th Monday before election
day and vote in that election.
Even if you meet these requirements, you are NOT eligible to vote if
you:
Are serving a sentence for a felony conviction.
You can vote again once you’ve completed your sentence
requirements.
Have been deemed by a judge to be mentally incompetent.
