This document introduces Daniel Jenks, a 26-year-old photographer from Sunderland specializing in food photography. He proposes to create a fine art series relating to food using everyday items and hopes to do commissions for local restaurants. Jenks will compile the best photos into a portfolio and his dissertation will examine how technology influences food photography. He has previous experience with food photography from his Foundation Degree and seeks to improve his skills by contacting established food photographers.

I
used
Silverprint
for
the
Portfolio
Production
module
in
the
Foundation
Degree
and
I
was
pleased
with
the
quality
of
the
file
and
polyester
sleeves
that
went
with
the
same
purchase.
I
plan
to
use
the
same
online
photography
store
again
for
the
Development
phase
of
this
course.

work
placement
at
the
Chef’s
Academy,
which
is
located
here
at
Newcastle
College.

collaborative
project
with
the
students
and
it
required
us
to
provide
images
for
their
own
cookbooks.

final
photos
were
a
mix
of
the
chefs
prepping
the
ingredients
for
dishes

finished
plates

presentation.

I
carried
out
a
separate
commission
for
the
independently
run
restaurant
named
The
Sausage
Emporium,
which
is
located
in
Newcastle
near
Central
Station.
With
the
help
of
another
student
on
the
course,
I
was
asked
to
shoot
images
for
their
new
menu.
The
photos
also
went
up
on
their
website.
