Virender Sehwag was born in 1978 in Delhi, India. He had an early interest and talent in cricket, playing for his school, zone, and under-19 teams. Sehwag made his ODI debut for India in 1999, where he scored his first century off just 69 balls. In tests, he made his debut in 2001 against South Africa, where he scored a century. Sehwag holds records for the fastest 200, 250, and 300 runs in tests. He was awarded the Arjuna Award in 2002 and Padma Shri in 2010 for his cricket achievements and records.
