To Whom It May Concern:
It is indeed my pleasure to recommend Monica Cobis for your current position.
I have known Monica since 2009 when I met her Uptown Columbus where she led
extraordinary walking ghost tours around town.
In August 2014, as Lay Missioner of the Episcopal Church, I hired Monica as Director of
Infusion, a servant leadership program for diverse high school students at the
Chattahoochee Valley Episcopal Ministry, Inc.
Monica raised Infusion to a whole new level by challenging bright students from six to
eight high schools to delve deeply into social justice issues and explore the systemic
causes of such matters as poverty, inequality in education, and homelessness. Monica
has been a master at finding venues around the city and beyond to place the teens in
community service projects for eyewitness experiences relating to the justice issues.
Monica has a brilliant and creative mind and constantly creates possibilities for engaging
young people to think outside the box. She invites people to join her who are willing to
share their expertise.
On a more personal level, Monica knows how to be a collaborator. She listens critically
before speaking and commits to projects that challenge and serve others. I am proud to
have learned and collaborated with Monica.
I believe that your staff would be proud to have Monica on your team. She is a dynamic
speaker who relate to individuals from all walks of life.
