1. Passive fire protection contains fires or slows the spread, through use of fire-resistant walls,
floors and doors to facilitate the safe means of escape for the occupants and the safety of the
fire fighters. Passive fire protection is a vital component of structural integrity and the fire safety
of a building. In addition to this, passive fire protection materials correctly specified, installed
and maintained will assist in:
> Safeguarding the building structure Minimising rebuild costs
Protecting assets and business operations Timely business recovery and continuity
The continuance of building serviceability Limiting smoke damage
The minimum requirements of Passive Fire Protection are set out in the BS 9999
(Code of practice for fire safety in the design, construction and use of buildings).

3. No two doors are the same! As companies continue to build strong brands through
their interior design, it is essential they can carry that image through every facet of
the building design, and doors are a big part of this. It is one of the few parts of the
interior décor that clients will have to get up close to and actually touch. Doors are
functional in that they are a working part of the building design, but more than that,
they define the feel of the interior. At Ventro we recognise this, which is why our
internal design and manufacturing teams are able to produce bespoke designs and
solutions that you can be proud of.

Fire Shutters Curtains
Ventro presents a range of fire shutters and curtains as
a traditional method of fire compartmentation through
maintaining the integrity of internal fire compartment walls
because they provide a compliant alternative to non-
loadbearing fire walls and doors. Fire shutters ensure your
building remains compliant, yet practical; when raised you
are rewarded with clear openings so you can make best use
of your building, but you can be sure you are protecting your
building and personnel in the event of fire.
Ventro’s wide range of fire curtains can be used in a variety
of applications ranging from protection of stairwells and lift
shafts to partitioning open plan offices, conference rooms
and reception areas.
Tested in accordance with BS476: Part 22: 1987, for up to 4
hours fire resistance. Assessed for openings up to 8000mm x
12000mm (50m2). Individual assessments available for larger
openings.
Fast Track Shutters
Fast Action roller shutter doors are required for high traffic
operation areas and are intended to keep the building
environment and temperature as constant as possible. Fast
action doors and can be installed internally or externally, with
the vast majority used in warehouse applications to save
energy and increase productivity.
Ranging from warehouse partitioning, to our thermally
insulated shutters for use in cold stores, the applications are
endless. The fast action of these doors dramatically reduces
heat loss, contamination by noise, airborne pollution and time
lost waiting for conventional door types to open.
Features Include:
Strong, durable material covered under product warranties
Option for vision panels
Soft Edge technology for reduced downtime
Available in a range of RAL colours
Can withstand a variety of weather conditions. An optional
wind bar system can be fitted on more exposed openings.

Escape Route Survey
Our trained technicians can apply their technical expertise
specifically to your site. This takes into account the
layout of the building, evacuation flow and the number of
escape routes and emergency exits, as the main control
is now travel time rather than travel distance. An integral
part of the survey is the emergency lighting and signage,
all of which is reported on.
Evacuation Plans
Public buildings are required to display a primary and
secondary evacuation plan for all sleeping and common
areas. Research shows that in unfamiliar surroundings an
overwhelming majority or people will attempt to leave by
the entrance they came in at, highlighting the necessity of
accurate evacuation plans.
Emergency Lighting Signage
Installation
Two critical ingredients of a safe escape route is of course
the emergency lighting and signage. Ventro are able to
offer a full design and installation service to your property
in conjunction with your evacuation plan.

Escape Routes
Are Your Escape Routes Good Enough?
Your escape routes save lives. However, many buildings either have insufficient means of escape
or the escape routes they do have are inadequate or non-compliant. Our in-house fire engineers
work with clients to ensure that the most critical aspect of their fire plan is up to the regulations set
out in BS 9999 and, most importantly, safe.

Improve Cashflow
Your complete purchase can be delivered and operational
without the need for capital expenditure. Have what you
need today with no cash outlay.
Retain Credit Lines
Keep existing banking arrangements, credit lines and cash
free for uses that are more appropriate. Our finance facilities
cannot be withdrawn like overdraft facilities. Use bank
funding for working capital to maintain a healthy business.
Simplify Budgeting
Payments are fixed throughout the term of the agreement
enabling accurate and simple budgeting and forecasting.
Bank facilities are generally related to interest rates, which is
fine when they are low but can cripple cashflow when they
increase.
Let the Equipment Pay for Itself
Enable the finance payments to coincide with the benefits
of having the new equipment as they start to appear.
You wouldn’t pay all your staff costs up front! Pay for the
equipment as you gain the benefits, not before.
Keep Up to Date
Combat obsolescence problems or requirement changes
as the equipment can be supplemented or upgraded at any
time in the future. Have what you really need to do the best
job for you, not just what your budget limits you to.
Simple Approval in Two Ways
First of all leasing may be classed as a revenue item for
budget purposes which may make it easier for you to obtain
authorisation for the expenditure. Secondly, our approval
process only takes one phone call and an approval is
usually provided the same day.
