Personal statement
A BEng Automotive Engineering graduate from Coventry University. An excellent problem solver with good
communication skills, capable of answering to difficult questions and idea generator. A dedicated, self-disciplined and
ambitious person, currently seeking a career/placement in the engineering industry. Excellent previous engineering
experience at Trendafilov Gas and Yazaki Bulgaria (Industrial Engineering Intern).
Work Experience:
December 2006 - July 2011 - Assistant in auto-service - Trendafilov Gas, Stara Zagora, Bulgaria
During my holidays and summer vacations I spent a lot of time in our family auto-service. I gained useful knowledge about
cars and how the vehicle systems work. I was able to work with professional engineers. I also was a part of the team and I
gave my best to help them achieve maximum results in less time. My main occupation was to adjust the LPG reservoir
and to make the pipeline for the connection between the level meter and the evaporator. I also helped with some electric
bonds between some parts. The main occupation of the auto-service was to install LPG vehicle systems on cars. The
environment was stressful and difficult at first but after 3 months of work I was adapted to it. This work experience helped
me gain many useful skills such as ablility to work in a stressful environment, basic knowledge of the vehicle systems,
their operation and the parts they are made from, capability of making basic vehicle repairs, better understanding of the
problems that might occur in a vehicle, ability to work with engineering tools and the ability to create a better solution (non-
traditional) to a problem in as less time as possible. I became more responsible, disciplined and hard-working.

Project Experience
Optimizing Performance of the Electric/Hybrid Vehicles
During my last year in the university I made a final project related to the Hybrid/Electric Vehicles, their electric motors and
performance. The aim was to optimize the performance and efficiency as much as possible by providing constant power
region in high and low speeds/temperatures. To complete the task I had to made many simulations, work with engineering
softwares such as MatLab and CATIA V5, gain knowledge of NEDC and US06 driving cycles, monitor statistics, performs
various tests and properly organize my schedule. After more than 6 months of research I came up with a final decision
and solutions to all the present problems. I have managed to produce a solution to the power losses in the current
industry electric motors that power different hybrid and electric vehicles. To finish my task I had to create a detailed report
about my work, show all the MatLab codes and formulas I have performed and all the required papers to justify my work.
After that I had to present in front of professional engineers who have worked on the topic for many years. The feedback
received was positive and I have achieved excellent mark at my final report and presentation. I have found a way to
improve the performance of the electric/hybrid vehicles significantly.
Global Engineer Project
At university I was assigned a group task to design a water system for a country named Timor Leste (East Timor). We had
to produce plans for an innovative communal water delivery station to allow villagers that cannot access a clean water
supply to fill a 10 or 20 litre receptacle. It had to be protected from flash flood during monsoon season and from buffalo
attempting to drink from it and allow inclusive access for children and disabled.
My actions:
 Developed a Gantt chart with activities for my team and me to follow in order to meet the given deadline
 Researched similar devices and various methods in order to pick out the most suitable water system for our
concept
 Create several design ideas and suitable concept choice
 Produced a poster and participated in the development of the final project report – writing and assembly of the
whole report.
On the final day all the groups’ designs were judged. I represented my team in the final presentation and achieved a mark
of 65% at the poster presentation task. During this project I improved my project management skills, presentational skills
as well as my research techniques.
Interests and Activities:
 Future Projects and Ideas such as The Thorium Car (100 years no refuelling)
 Electric Vehicles
 Fitness – Healthy Lifestyle
 Passionate Reader and Writer
 Industrial Engineering Intern at Yazaki Bulgaria – Electrical Systems and Wiring, Working Instructions
preparation, Improvement of the working process in the company
 Participant in a ‘Flare’ project – Flare is international organisation against human trafficking, drugs and
prostitution. My project activities were: participating in short movies, live actions such as flash mob and I gave
some interesting ideas and thoughts to consider. The aim of the project was to show the worst aspects of
human trafficking, drugs and prostitution.
