To accurately measure angles using a protractor, place it on the circle so that the baseline of the protractor lines up with the angle's arms. The protractor has numbers around its edge to measure angles; use the top numbers for angles opening to the right and bottom numbers for angles opening to the left. Different types of angles include acute, right, obtuse, those on a straight line, and reflex angles.
