NEW YORK, Sept. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- First Capital Real Estate Investments, LLC ("First Capital"), a Sacramento based real estate investment and finance firm, announced today that it closed on the acquisition of United Realty Advisors, LP, the external advisor to United Realty Trust Incorporated ("URTI"), an SEC-registered public non-traded REIT, and other affiliated entities (collectively, "United Realty").
American bulldogs
I am the owner of two American Bulldogs, one of the friendliest breeds of bulldogs, despite their sometimes negative reputation. The history of Bulldogs dates all the way back to the arrival of the Normans to the British Isles in 1066, who brought with them Spanish Alaunts. The Spanish dogs bred with native English Mastiffs, resulting in the English Bulldog, which settlers would commonly bring with them to America, using them around the farm for hunting or as property guards. Bulldogs were especially popular in the American South, where feral pigs ran rampant. Settlers used the dogs to deal with the dangerous pigs. However, the breed reached near extinction by the end of the Second World War. War veteran John Johnson decided to resurrect the breed together with Alan Scott and several other breeders. The American Bulldog was finally recognized by the United Kennel Club in 1999.
