Increasing production of renewable energy from less exploited
sources (biomass, biogas, geothermal) - DISTRIBUTION
Programme details:
 Beneficiaries: Private companies, distribution / transport
operators of electricity from renewable energy
 Eligible expenses:
Upgrading the electricity distribution grids with voltage of up to
110kV
Extending the electricity distribution grids with voltage of up to
110kV
Others if they are absolutely necessary for the project
 Maxim Grant: 3 mil. EUR
 Estimated Intensity: 50%
Increasing production of renewable energy from less exploited
sources (biomass, biogas, geothermal) - PRODUCTION
Programme details:
 Beneficiaries: Romanian or European companies that sell or
produce energy
 Eligible expenses:
Expenditures related to producing biogas from biomass processing
(fermenters, silos, weighing machine, tanks, etc.);
Thermal branching
Execution / modernization of wells if geothermal energy is eligible
 Maxim Grant: 15 mil. EUR
 Estimated Intensity: Between 50 and 80%
Energy consumption reduction for industrial consumers
Programme details:
 Beneficiaries: Industrial companies, large energy consumers
(consuming more than 1,000 toe / year), that require the
implementation of monitoring systems to quickly identify solutions
for reducing consumption
 Eligible expenses:
Installations / equipment for implementing energy monitoring
systems
Monitoring systems (hardware and software) sensors for
measurement and/or control devices for industrial process data
RTU (Remote Terminal Units); Data communication systems;
Maxim Grant: 200.000 EUR
 Estimated Intensity: 100%
Increasing savings in primary energy consumption produced in high
efficiency cogeneration systems
Programme details:
 Beneficiaries: Industrial companies, with consumption levels of 200
toe / year and that can prove a need of useful thermal energy for
industrial processes with a minimum length of 4,000 hours / year
 Eligible expenses:
Purchase of machinery / equipment for construction / modernization
of high efficiency cogeneration units of industrial enterprises;
Constructions related to the industrial process of the energy
cogeneration project.
 Maxim Grant: 6 mil. EUR max
 Estimated Intensity: Between 50 and 80%

Programme details:
 Beneficiaries: Micro-enterprises ( ≤ 9 employees + annual net
turnover or total assets ≤ 2 mil. EUR), 1 full fiscal year closed, 1
fulltime employee
 Eligible expenses:
Construction/ Modernization works
Equipment and specific production installations & technology
procurement
Website development costs and marketing tools
Costs elated to patents, licenses, brands, IT software etc
Management consultancy costs
 Maxim Grant: 200.000 EUR under the minimis rules
 Estimated Intensity: 90%
Development of SMEs through acquisition of production tools and
related services
Programme details:
 Beneficiaries: SMEs
 Eligible expenses:
Construction/ Modernization works
Equipment and specific production installations & technology
procurement
 Maxim Grant: Estimated – 1,5 mil. EUR per project
 Estimated Intensity: Most probably between 50 and 80%
Funding Programme for innovative start-ups and spin-offs
Programme details:
 Beneficiaries: Private companies, Innovative Start-ups – company
not older than 3 years, Spin-off – company that will be created
based on R&D results or existing IP rights obtained by public
research institutions.
 Eligible expenses:
Research and development activities
Purchase of services for research and development
ICT equipment and specific R&D tools
Tangible and intangible assets
General administration costs
 Maxim Grant: 200.000 EUR
 Estimated Intensity: 90%
Funding Programme for New Rural Non-agricultural Enterprises
Programme details:
 Beneficiaries: Micro or small enterprises, Farmers, registered
natural persons (PFA), etc.
 Eligible expenses:
A large area of production activities are eligible
Development/modernization of agro tourism accommodation units
(not hotels)
 Maxim Grant: 200.000 EUR
 Estimated Intensity: 90%
