3. All of McDonald’s 20 years as a Georgia State Representative were spent as
a Democrat.

4. After his stint in the state legislature, Mcdonald ran for Governor, as a
Democrat of course, flying his personal plane across Georgia.
McDonald lost the election but was subsequently appointed, as a Democrat,
to Georgia’s Public Service Commission (PSC).

5. To win back his spot on the PSC through a 2008 election, McDonald said he
was a Republican.
Still though, he pushes a liberal agenda and hosts Democratic Party
meetings and events at his place of business.

6. If you had a nickel for every time McDonald voted to increase your
electricity rates, you’d still be getting a bad deal.
McDonald’s voted in favor of multiple rate hikes, costing the average
consumer hundreds of dollars, and all of theses votes are public record.

production
● October 2011 - Called for study of Renewable Portfolio Standards to
promote development of solar energy.
● March 2013 - Proclaimed Dublin City school’s installation of solar panels a
success, despite the program’s yearly cost of 300k and “savings” of 100k.
● July 2013 - Forced Georgia Power to produce 525 MW’s of solar energy.

9. With all this being said, it shouldn’t be surprising to hear that a global
warming fanatic group - the Sierra Club - has offered to endorse Lauren
“Bubba” McDonald.

11. McDonald is “out of the commission office 40 percent of the time.”
In fact, according to the Office of the State Property Officer’s Director of
Legal Services, Cindy Presto, for an entire four-month period, there is no
record of Mcdonald entering or exiting the Georgia PSC office building.

13. McDonald has accepted “more than $20,000 in meals and entertainment
from lobbyists in the last six years”.
Only after an ethics complaint was filed with the Georgia Government
Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission, noting McDonald’s 63
failures to disclose either the names, occupations, employers, or
addresses of his December 2013 campaign disclosure donors, was it
revealed that the solar energy industry had given McDonald thousands of
dollars.

14. Despite having received written notification from the commission,
Mcdonald has still not disclosed the names, occupations, employers, and
addresses of all of his donors, showing blatant disregard for Georgia law.
