This document describes the Vedic planetary system, including different levels of existence below and above earth. It discusses the hellish planets where living entities are placed according to their karma, as well as the luminous planetary system containing the sun, moon, stars and planets. It also mentions the higher planetary systems of Maharloka, Janaloka and Tapoloka that are inhabited by great sages and rishis, and the topmost Satyaloka, the abode of Lord Brahma. The universal covering is described as having seven layers from earth to mahat-tattva.

Opulence of Bila-Svarga : No sunshine (Darkness is dispelled by the Gem on the hood of the great serpants) ,
no fear of time (Only fear of effulgence of Lord Sudarsana), Great Health, Beautiful Houses, Parks and Gardens,
Daityas, Danavas and Nagas live as householders.
 ATALA : Bala, the son of Maya Danava resides here
 VITALA : Lord Siva lives here with his wife and ganas
 SUTALA : Bali Maharaja resides here with opulence
 TALATALA : Maya Danava resides here
 MAHATALA: Angry snakes lives here with their wife and children
 RASATALA : Demoniac Sons of Diti and Danu lives here
 PATALA OR NAGA LOKA : Vasuki and many demonic serpents reside here

7. LORD ANANTA – GLORIES
Appearance : Blue clothe, one earring, plow on His shoulder, Golden belt around his
waist, Vaijayanti garland and fresh Tulasi on his neck, pink toenails on His lotus feet.
The great Bhumandala (Universe) is situated on one of Lord Ananta’s thousands of hoods
and appears just like a white mustard seed.
When Ananta desired to destroy the entire creation, Angry Rudra appear from his
eyebrows with his eleven expansions, carrying a trident.
His prowess is unlimited, and even with thousands of tongue, one cannot count his
unlimited glories.

Located in an intermediate space between the three worlds and the Garbodhaka ocean on
the southern side of the universe.
Thousands of Hellish planets but 28 of them are described;
According to the extent of his ignorance, living entities engages in forbidden acts of
adharma and is placed in different grades of hellish life.

Tamisra Appropriating another’s wife,
children or money
Beaten and starved of food and
water
Andha-tamisra Cheating another and enjoying his
wife and children
He loses sight and thrown down.
Full of pain, he loses consciousness
Raurava Committing violence against other
living entities
Living entities against whom the
violence committed, become
snakes and inflict pain upon him.
Kumbhipaka Cooking animals and eating to
satisfy one’s tongue
He is cooked in boiling oil
Krmibhojana Eating without sharing with guests He becomes a worm and he feeds
on worms and worms feed on him.

13. SVAR LOKA : Luminary Planetary system
(Sun, Moon, Stars and Planets Sapta Rishi and Dhruv loka)
Movement of the Sun : Uttarayana and Dakshinayana
Chariot of the sun god travels on a wheel called samvastara.
This wheel has 12 spokes representing 12 months of six seasons
Moon : Every month is divided in to two fortnights i.e WAXING AND WANING
Stars : 28 costellations
