1) Cars were found to be the most popular form of transport compared to buses, bikes, and dogs.
2) Among transport on a particular road, bikes were most popular compared to buses and pedestrians.
3) On another road, cars were more popular than taxis, buses, trucks or coaches. The most popular car type was Ford.
4) Silver was identified as the most common car color seen traveling on the main road.
5) Fantasy cars that students would like to own included BMW, space wagons, and
The document provides statistics on relocation within Europe. It shows that 50% of people relocating within the EU come from non-EU countries, while 23.2% come from other EU countries. Over 15 million students study in other EU countries each year. The top countries that Europeans relocate to for work are Germany (14.9-14.4%), Italy (15.8%), Poland (8.1%), and France (5.7%).
There are several species of seals and penguins that live on land in Antarctica, while whales, fish, and krill inhabit the surrounding southern oceans. The six main seal species that reside in Antarctica make up the majority of the world's seal population. Many Antarctic animals, such as fish and insects, have natural antifreeze proteins that allow them to survive in subzero temperatures. Birds also retain heat through compact bodies, thick skin, and insulating feathers.
Antarctica has an extreme cold climate that limits plant growth, with inadequate sunlight, poor soil quality, and plants only growing for a few weeks or days in summer. As a result, plants grow in limited regions, with the flora of Antarctica primarily consisting of around 25 species of liverworts and 100 species of mosses that grow each year.
The document provides information about the teachers and staff at SS Mary & John C.E. primary school, including the headteacher, deputy head, and teachers of each year. It mentions that the school has a winter fair each year to raise money. It also notes some of the daily activities at the school like assembly, maths, and literacy lessons, and that school hours are from 8:50 to 3:20.
Munir Dar was a hockey Olympian from Pakistan who was interviewed in November 2009. He achieved success at the 1960 Olympics and helped carry hockey into heroism in Pakistan. Both his brother and son also won gold medals in hockey for Pakistan in 1968 and 1984 respectively. When asked about the decline of hockey in Pakistan, Munir Dar cited changes to the international rules of the game and lack of funding as the primary reasons for its fall from being one of the top teams.
The document summarizes exploration and population facts about Antarctica. It discusses how Antarctica was hypothesized as early as the 1st century CE but the South Pole was not reached until 1911 by Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen. The Heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration occurred in the late 19th century, ending with Ernest Shackleton's failed expedition. Today, research stations are constructed on fixed rock or ice locations, and the winter population is around 1,000 people, growing to 5,000 in summer, with a low population density. Two places are sometimes considered towns - the Chilean Villa Las Estrellas base and the Argentinian Esperanza base.
The document summarizes information about a school in England provided in response to questions from students. There are 322 students between key stages 1 and 2, organized into 12 classes. Students study core subjects like math, literacy, science as well as other subjects. They get homework on Fridays and study for 5 hours daily. The school has a playground with equipment like monkey bars and a climbing frame. Students play sports like football and participate in a sports day. They wear a school uniform and have daily assemblies. Rewards include certificates and prizes. The school has 6 trees and classes are named after trees. Some students receive money from parents to buy lunch. Many languages are spoken and popular TV shows watched include Tracey Beaker and Horrid
The students of Grade III at The Lords International School in Lahore, Pakistan completed a transportation project with students at SS Mary & John CE Primary School in Oxford, UK. They conducted surveys and observations of traffic near their school in Lahore, noting that most students in their class come to school by car. They observed many types of vehicles used including cars, vans, rickshaws and motorbikes. They also visited a busy road near their school and interviewed a traffic police officer. The students compiled their findings into a report to share with the students in Oxford.

The document discusses different sounds that can be heard every day. It mentions that all sounds are produced by vibration and can be either soft or loud. Noise pollution consists of unpleasant or unwanted sounds, such as loud noises produced by trains. A common source of noise pollution is transportation, like motor vehicles. Students observed different sounds in nature and objects, such as the sounds of birds chirping, water splashing, and clocks ticking. Musical instruments can produce pleasant sounds when played harmoniously.
The document discusses seasons, temperature, precipitation, and days/nights in Antarctica. It notes that because of the Earth's tilt and orbit, the poles receive less sunlight, resulting in only two seasons - summer and winter. In summer at the poles, the sun does not set and in winter the sun does not rise. Interior temperatures average -57°C with coastal areas between -10°C to -30°C in winter occasionally rising to freezing. The coldest recorded temperature on Earth was -89.2°C at Vostok station. Precipitation is mainly snow with coastal areas receiving about 200mm annually and mountainous/plateau areas less than 50mm due to cold temperatures preventing evaporation. Much
The document summarizes wildlife and plant life found in Antarctica. It describes how animals like penguins, seals, whales, and fish have adapted to survive in the extreme cold through mechanisms like insulating fat layers, antifreeze proteins, and compact bodies. It notes that the only land animals are penguins and seals. Plants are also very limited due to the harsh climate with only mosses and liverworts able to grow for short periods in summer.
Antarctica is the southernmost continent located around the South Pole, covering over 14 million square kilometers and surrounded by the Southern Ocean. About 98% of Antarctica is covered by the Antarctic ice sheet, which averages at least 1.6 kilometers thick and contains around 90% of the world's ice and 70% of its fresh water; if this ice melted, sea levels would rise approximately 60 meters.
Traditional Games of Pakistan and Favourite Games of childrenssmjinternational
The document describes several traditional Indian games including Guli Danda, Kabaddi, Ludo, Kokla Chappakki, and Oonch Neech. Guli Danda involves throwing wooden sticks at a wooden cylinder. Kabaddi involves two teams trying to tag players on the opposing team. Ludo involves moving game pieces according to dice rolls around a board. Kokla Chappakki involves one player trying to tag others who have their eyes closed. Oonch Neech differentiates between upper and lower levels in their game. The document also lists the results of a survey on popular games.

One of the reasons Antartica is a significant environment, is due to Antarctica’s enormous environmental impact. 98% of Antartica is covered in ice, which is 25.6 milion cubic km of ice covered 14 million square km. It is also a significant environment because it has the most amount of ice in one place than any other continent, with 70% of the 26.5 million cubic km of ice being fresh water. If this mass amount of ice were to melt, ocean levels could rise by nearly 60 metres. This could engulf small countries, completely submerging them below water. In addition to Antartica’s significant environmentally extreme weather, is the extreme temperatures. It is the col
The document discusses why Antarctica is a significant environment. It provides information about the extreme conditions in Antarctica, including being the highest, driest, windiest, and coldest continent. It notes that Antarctica has been changed very little by humans, allowing scientists to study how environments evolve naturally. The document also addresses the impacts that humans have had on Antarctica, such as accidentally introducing invasive species, disturbing wildlife, and leaving behind pollution. It discusses efforts by the global community to protect Antarctica through the Antarctic Treaty and its updates over time to establish regulations regarding pollution, wildlife protection, and limiting human impacts.
The document summarizes key facts about Antarctica:
1) Antarctica is located at the South Pole and has extremely cold temperatures reaching as low as -70° Celsius with wind speeds up to 300 km/h.
2) It contains 90% of the world's ice and is the major fresh water reserve on Earth, with ice covering 99% of the continent at an average thickness of 2,500 meters.
3) If all the Antarctic ice melted, it would cause the oceans to rise by approximately 70 meters globally and significantly impact the world's climate and weather patterns.
The document discusses the 1824 presidential election between John Quincy Adams, Henry Clay, William Crawford, and Andrew Jackson. Henry Clay threw his support behind Adams, allowing Adams to win the election, despite Jackson receiving the most votes. This led Jackson's supporters to form the Democratic party while Adams's supporters formed the National Republican party. The election exacerbated divisions between North and South over tariffs that would later lead to the Nullification Crisis under President Jackson.
This document lists several famous art museums from around the world including the Moma, Louvre, Munal, London Museum, Prado, Reina Sofia, Winter Palace, and Gugheenem.
Antarctica is the coldest, windiest, highest, driest, and iciest continent on Earth. It has an average elevation of over 8,000 feet and receives less than 2 inches of precipitation per year. Antarctica is surrounded by ocean, which prevents the moderating effect of water and contributes to its extremely cold temperatures, with recorded lows of -129°F. Several nations operate research stations staffed by scientists year-round to study the environment, climate, and wildlife such as penguins and whales. Tourists can visit Antarctica by ship for short trips during the summer.
The document describes Richard Barrett's Seven Levels of Consciousness model, which extends Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs to understand individual and group consciousness development. The model includes both internal dimensions like self-knowledge and external dimensions like expanding one's sense of identity. Barrett developed tools like the Cultural Transformation Tools to map organizational values and leaders' levels of consciousness using this model. The document also outlines applications of the model for individuals, groups, decision-making, and building values-driven cultures.

The Golden Group is over. Can a new group step up? Two years ago, Kevin De Bruyne plunged Belgium’s Euro 2024 plans into disorder when he claimed the team was “too old” to win in an interview with The Protector. That Belgian squad had 10 players over 30 and the maximum average age of any Euro Cup 2024 team at the competition. A group-stage exit and just one goal at the World Cup put Belgium on course for a restructure.

Coach Domenico Tedesco has managed a tactical shakeup and a regular exit for some of the oldest players. Experienced bests remain, not least the 37-year-old Jan Vertonghen in defense, the 32-year-old De Bruyne himself in midfield, and 31-year-old Romelu Lukaku up visible.
Still, younger actors like De Bruyne’s Manchester City partner Jeremy Doku bring fresh vitality to the team. Euro Cup Germany Qualifying unbeaten with just four goals allowed from eight games was a welcome sign of accomplishment back on track under Tedesco.
The only other squad in Group E besides Belgium to UEFA Euro 2024 qualify unbeaten, Romania was awestruck by winning a group that also checked Switzerland and Israel. Still, Euro 2024 will test a squad sorely lacking in top-level skill.
