3. The television animation series is about the life and
adventures of Upin and Ipin, five-year-old Malay twins
who live together with their elder sister Ros and
grandmother Uda (whom they call Opah) in a
kampung called “Kampung Durian Runtuh”. They had lost
their parents in their infancy.
Joining Upin and Ipin are a group of friends from their
village's Tadika Mesra (kindergarten); which includes the
adorable and right-thinking Mei Mei, a joker and poetic
Jarjit Singh, the clumsy and short tempered Ehsan, an
easy going and sarcastic Fizi (Ehsan's cousin), and an
entrepreneurial and meticulous Mail.

7. • The movie is a joint collaboration between Les’ Copaque
Production and KRU studio featuring the award winning child
actress, Raja Balqis and famous rock star, Awie.
• The movie tells the story of an orphan, Aqish and her imaginary
cartoon friends, Upin & Ipin.
• One day, Aqish finds out that her orphanage is going to be sold off
due to accumulated debts. Together with Upin & Ipin, they worked
together to save the orphanage from being taken away by holding
a charity concert featuring Awie.
• It is a story of their struggles, determination and success in saving
the orphanage.
