was furious as he watched the stock value from his fund seemingly evaporate right in front of his
eyes. Khandelwal, the fund manager at Principal First, had been managing the mid-sized
information technology (IT) fund for the previous five years. Khandelwal asked his assistant to put
in a sell order to cover his long position 2 in Vakrangee Limited (Vakrangee) at a substantial loss.
He had bought the stock in the beginning of October 2017. The stock hit a high in Jamuary 2018
but had subsequently been sliding (see Exhibit 1). In his fund, Khandelwal had allocated a
substantial amount to Vakrangee in the initial investment. Based on the current market price of the
stock, there was a net loss of 169 million 3 and a loss of 592 million unrealized from the top for the
fund. 4 This loss caused the net asset value of the fund to fall by 35 per cent year to date,
because Khandelwal had not hedged his position. Khandelwal's clients were irate, and more than
25 per cent of his firm's investors had withdrawn their money from the fund. Principal First had
also reprimanded him and put him on notice. Khandelwal wondered where he went wrong in his
analysis of Vakrangee. He had done the valuation exercise himself, checked and cross-checked
his assumptions, looked at industry and credit reports, and had found it to be a good stock with
good future prospects. What had he missed? What could he have done better? PRINCIPAL
FIRST Principal First was a Mumbai-based boutique investment management and investment
advisory firm. The investment objective of the firm was to deliver notable risk-adjusted retums

Introduction
Each individual has got specificity when looking for an organization to work in. Salary is the focus point for most individuals. It is however advised that one identifies with the whole compensation package, organizational culture and the slightest advantage for career growth. Leadership and mentorship is another factor that one should look for in an organization and check for a brand with a reputable name and not only in the United States of America but globally. Through a keen research, I have finally settled for JP Morgan Chase bank. The paper is going to tackle the reasons why JP Morgan remains to be the best place to work and with what reasons.
History
JP Morgan chase bank is an organization that was established over one and a half centuries ago. It was founded by two individuals, P Morgan and Anthony Drexel. The company’s name was created from using one of the founders’ name; P Morgan. The organization is reputable and is popular within and over the boarders of the United States for its ability to offer investment management, wealth management, banking, and risk management (Varma, 2017). By the end of the year 2017, the bank had established workforce of over 300,000. This was a strategy for creating more branches spread all over the country and the globe as well.
The customer care strategy in the J.P Morgan Chase Bank is regarded as excellent since it meets the financial needs of its customers. The organizations’ employees are well established and can handle their positions productively. The year 2017, was a hallmark of fame for its top services in the United States.
Operations
Every employee or any individual that yearns to work for the company should be aware that the organization is not only operating in the United States but also spread over the world. The branches over the world make it global and therefore it has embraced the need to include workforce diversity in its culture. The bank gets its employees from all over the world. They employees are from different races, cultural backgrounds and practices not any form of discrimination. The company is preserved by its core values and highly focuses on operational excellence and responsibility.
The financial aspect of the organization gives the reasons for including ethics and morality for its daily operations. The banks operation needs to operate on trust worthy grounds and therefore mandated to exalt it in its cultures in order to gain the customers’ trust. (Weinstein, 2015). Giving exceptional excellence, the bank embraces innovation and technology in all aspect of operations. The company has updated every branch and office to function with latest technology equipment. Most companies focus on identifying potential employees as students when they are about to graduate from universities and high school and put them under recruitment process that lasts for about one year.
Findings about Japan recruitment
Potential candidates are chosen on the bases of their personalities, communication skills and sources of motivation.
The subject of study in university and high school is not considered a lot.
Shave adopted institutions that allow for companies to identify students before graduating.
There is a lot of jobs hopping, most Japanese work within the organization they were employed after graduation until retirement.
They consider young graduates from universities and high schools.
Potential candidates are chosen on the bases of their personalities, communication skills and sources of motivation rather than what they have studied (Horta, Sato & Yonezawa, 2011). Considering these facts, a Human Resource Manger should be extremely vigilant in recruitment of new employees.

- 1. To whom it may concern, I have been an investment analyst and fund manager at UG Investment Advisers Ltd. for five years. The company was established in 1998, and has USD$1 billion in assets under management. UG is the leading player in the Asia hedge fund industry, and UG Hidden Dragon Special Opportunities Fund won HFM Awards 2015 for best long/short equity greater China fund over $500 million. Our smart, hard-working, passionate, discipline, and responsible team members made great contribution, and Mincong(Ronald) is one of the teammates. As he worked as an analyst in our research team, he proved to be a fast learner, with good business ethics and proper behaviors. There are whole different stories in UG, but for Ronald, the story started from the beginning. He only spent two months for probation through his hard- working and efforts, while others spent at least three months. Then as he picked up the Food & Beverage as well as the consumer discretionary industry, he learned to do the complete due diligence each week, and utilized his network and resources to help build up the monthly database for analytical purpose. Such move greatly proceeds the fund to growth from the F&B sector. He is also a great communicator between each department, making a smooth connection between each other, and everyone likes to work with him.
