Universal Design in Education aims to maximize learning for all students by applying Universal Design principles to instruction. The three principles of Universal Design for Learning are to provide multiple means of representation, multiple means of action and expression, and multiple means of engagement. Universal Design for Learning is important because it is designed to provide an equal education to students with various skills and backgrounds and help teachers meet the needs of every student.
