Tysen chose to play for the All Blacks rugby team because rugby is very important to him and he has always dreamed of being a professional rugby player. He also notes that professional rugby players earn a significant salary, so he would get paid to do something he loves. Tysen selected flags representing several countries in his family heritage, including New Zealand where he was born and most of his family comes from, as well as South Africa, Ireland, and England where some of his grandparents and great-grandparents originated.
