However, for 3D animation, Shade 3D, LightWave 3D, K-3D, Autodesk 3ds Max and 3D Movie Maker software are preferred. As a technique, animation began in the 1960s following its introduction by Frank W. Sinden, Michael Noll, Kenneth C. Knowlton, and Edward Zajac. Later, in 1973, animation was used in the production of the film Westworld.

4. At www.zimmertwins.com students can make their animation from scratch or use a starter and then complete the story. Students can create and edit movies individually or work together in groups creating a collaborative movie.
5. At www.goanimate.com students create their own stories from scracth. Go!Animate works with Flickr to import photos for use as backdrops.
6. Maximizing Speaking opportunities with Zimmertwins and Go!animate. Storytelling Students can briefly summarize a tale or story they heard from somebody beforehand, and then they may recreate their stories using the animation tools. Story telling fosters creative thinking. It also helps students express ideas in the format of beginning, development, and ending, including the characters and setting a story has to have.
7. “ Facing the need of encouraging two Junior groups in writing, I decided to use the website “Zimmer Twins” as a technological tool. The main objective was provoking their interest and involvement in the subjects brought by their textbook . They loved the experience! Besides having a totally new and exciting manner to develop their written skills using the amount of language seen in class, sts also had speaking and reading opportunities enhanced with the tool, as they earlier discussed what to do in pairs, and then read all the results.
