Tuis are a native New Zealand bird. They lay 3-4 eggs in their nests over 14 days and feed their young with their beaks. Tuis eat nectar from plants, fruit, honey, and insects with no limits, and will not be harmed by overeating. They live in forests and trees on the North and South Islands as well as some offshore islands, building new nests each year. Tuis fly using their wings and feathers but also walk, flying to reach new habitats and walking to find food on the ground.
