Effective Trial Techniques Every Lawyer Should
Know
CLE Description
The CCBA’s Personal Injury Law Committee, co-
chaired by Yao O. Dinizulu, Esq. and Assata N.
Peterson, Esq., presents a CLE on effective trial
techniques.
The purpose of this CLE is to bring together judges
and well-respected practitioners to present trial
techniques that have proven effective in practice. The
entire CLE will give an overview of key elements of a
trial and tips, strategies, and considerations for
approaching each element of trial. The presenters will
be divided into four topical areas: (1) motions in
limine; (2) voir dire and jury selection; (3) witness
examination and objections; and (4) post-trial motions
and preserving issues for appeal. This is a great
opportunity for litigators at all levels of practice to learn Date: Wednesday, October 14,
new techniques, fine-tune courtroom skills, and learn
from and question top legal minds about their proven 2009
trial techniques. Time: 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
