The Lions Club of Lutong Miri and Lions Club of Lambir Miri jointly organized an environmental tree planting project on July 20, 2009 at the Basketball Court in Lutong Miri. A total of six tanjung trees were planted with the participation of 17 people, including the International Director Hjh Ellis Suriyati Hj Omar and presidents from other Lions Clubs in the region. The goal of the project was to raise environmental awareness in the local community and create a comfortable outdoor space for public activities.

of six (6) tanjung trees had been planted at the said venue. There are 17 peoples
witness the planting of Tanjung Tree and initiated by the ID Hjh Ellis Suriyati.
