2. Policy
• One of the ways that individuals broaden and deepen their
career experience is through professional moves within the
Vanderbilt system. A transfer is defined as changing positions
for a lateral move, promotion, department change, job
change, or demotion. A change in job title, reporting
structure, change in responsibilities, or any other
modification to a current position, is not considered a
transfer.
3. Cont.
• Transfer can be based on Performance, behavioural concerns,
promotion and change from temporary position to permanent.
• Change from a Temporary Position to a Regular Position: The same
process is used when an employee moves from a temporary position
through VTS to a regular position at Vanderbilt. The employee is
terminated from VTS and processed either as a:
• Rehire -- If no more than one year has expired since previous regular
employment or
• New Hire -- If more than one year has expired since previous regular
employment or if this is the first regular employment at Vanderbilt.
4. Perks & Allowance
• Applicate will arrange 7 days of stay at their guest house when
relocating to a new location. This can be availed for 2 persons. If the
employee refuse to stay at the hotel provided and instead stays at
home, he/she is not eligible for any monetary claims against it.
• The TA/DA entitlement for travel allowance will be reimbursed against
a self certified claim only upto the economy class in flights and 2nd
class by train.
• A total sum of Rs.50000 is given as transfer allowance to the
employee transferring from Gurgaon to Bangalore or Bangalore to
Gurgaon.
5. T.A. on Transfer
• TA on Transfer includes : -
• Travel entitlement for self and family
• (a) Travel entitlements as prescribed for tour, except for international
Travel, will be applicable in case of journeys on transfer.
• (b) The provisions relating to small family norms , shall continue to be
applicable.
