India has many unique traditions that give people a different perspective on life than those in Europe. The majority of people in India are Hindus who believe in multiple gods. Women typically wear saris, which are long, colorful cloths wrapped around the body, and married Hindu women often adorn their foreheads with bindis, which are colorful powders usually in red, as a sign of their marital status. Travel to India from Europe can be difficult due to the large distance, but those who make the trip are often amazed by what they experience.
