It has a population of over 1 million people, making it the second largest metropolitan area in Chile. The area is located on the banks of the Biobío River and has ports and an international airport. Members of the 7th grade class B researched Concepción to learn about its flora, fauna, tourist attractions, and history. They concluded that the city has many beautiful places of interest for visitors and that they learned a lot about their local area.
