geOrchestra is the free, modular and secure Spatial Data Infrastructure software born in 2009 to meet the requirements of the INSPIRE directive in Europe. It is built on top of the latest stable versions of GeoServer and GeoNetwork. In this talk we will briefly present the geOrchestra SDI, before going through the major contributions during the previous year, to answer the following questions:
* how the project moved from tainted to generic artifacts (war files, debian packages, docker images)
* how to deploy a geOrchestra SDI instance in 10 minutes
* how to build your robust, high performance and high availability SDI in the clouds.
Presentation summarizing some of the most important LibrePlan features.

Magnolia & Angular JS - an Approach for Javascript RIAs Delivered by a CMSMagnolia
When the technology stack of a content and logic driven web application gets defined, there is often the question if it should be build on an open source content management system like Magnolia or if it should be a standalone app which might include several pages from a CMS. Agido's Moritz Rebbert will show an approach where the web application is based on and delivered by the CMS but it's logic is completely separated within REST based services and AngularJS based client side code.

Cut your Grails application to pieces - build feature pluginsGR8Conf
Reuse has been taught in CS classes since the very beginning. But how should you practically do to reuse functionality from one Grails application in other applications? The plugin subsystem in Grails is an awesome machinery that makes it easy to separate functionality into distinct plugins. Plugins that can be used in many applications with similar functionality. Yet have unique features without creating a maintenance hell.
In this session you will learn how to think "feature plugins" when you're designing and developing your Grails applications. We will cover topics like inter-plugin communication using application events and how to support different look and feel for each application using "theme plugins". You will also learn how each plugin can be tested and documented separately from the application.
After this session "grails create-plugin" will be your best friend.
June 24, 2014. At Velocity 2014, Fastly engineer Vladimir Vuksan gave an intro to Ganglia concepts (grid, clusters, hosts) as well as an installation of a sample monitoring grid. He also goes through the following commonly used visualization tools and how they may aid in detecting issues, identifying causes, and taking corrective action:
- Cluster/Grid Views
- Aggregate graphs
- Compare Hosts
- Custom graph functionality
- Views
- Interactive graphs
- Trending
- Nagios/Alerting system integration
- How to add metrics to Ganglia
- Different export formats such as JSON, CSV, and XML
Scaling Prometheus Metrics in Kubernetes with Telegraf | Chris Goller | Influ...InfluxData
Scaling Prometheus in Kubernetes seems easy with service-discovery, but quickly devolves into manual DevOps snowflake setup. Additionally, a single developer is able to overwhelm a federated Prometheus setup and impact the system as a whole without being able to self-service debug. In this talk, Chris will focus on a variety of architectures using Telegraf to scale scraping in Kubernetes and empower developers.
He’ll describe his experiences around scaling /metrics in the microservices of InfluxData’s Cloud 2.0 Kubernetes system…as he was the single developer that added just one more label…

"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.

Custom Healthcare Software for Managing Chronic Conditions and Remote Patient...Mind IT Systems
Healthcare providers often struggle with the complexities of chronic conditions and remote patient monitoring, as each patient requires personalized care and ongoing monitoring. Off-the-shelf solutions may not meet these diverse needs, leading to inefficiencies and gaps in care. It’s here, custom healthcare software offers a tailored solution, ensuring improved care and effectiveness.
Graspan: A Big Data System for Big Code AnalysisAftab Hussain
We built a disk-based parallel graph system, Graspan, that uses a novel edge-pair centric computation model to compute dynamic transitive closures on very large program graphs.
We implement context-sensitive pointer/alias and dataflow analyses on Graspan. An evaluation of these analyses on large codebases such as Linux shows that their Graspan implementations scale to millions of lines of code and are much simpler than their original implementations.
These analyses were used to augment the existing checkers; these augmented checkers found 132 new NULL pointer bugs and 1308 unnecessary NULL tests in Linux 4.4.0-rc5, PostgreSQL 8.3.9, and Apache httpd 2.2.18.

Enhancing Research Orchestration Capabilities at ORNL.pdfGlobus
Cross-facility research orchestration comes with ever-changing constraints regarding the availability and suitability of various compute and data resources. In short, a flexible data and processing fabric is needed to enable the dynamic redirection of data and compute tasks throughout the lifecycle of an experiment. In this talk, we illustrate how we easily leveraged Globus services to instrument the ACE research testbed at the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility with flexible data and task orchestration capabilities.

First Steps with Globus Compute Multi-User EndpointsGlobus
In this presentation we will share our experiences around getting started with the Globus Compute multi-user endpoint. Working with the Pharmacology group at the University of Auckland, we have previously written an application using Globus Compute that can offload computationally expensive steps in the researcher's workflows, which they wish to manage from their familiar Windows environments, onto the NeSI (New Zealand eScience Infrastructure) cluster. Some of the challenges we have encountered were that each researcher had to set up and manage their own single-user globus compute endpoint and that the workloads had varying resource requirements (CPUs, memory and wall time) between different runs. We hope that the multi-user endpoint will help to address these challenges and share an update on our progress here.
Do you want Software for your Business? Visit Deuglo
Deuglo has top Software Developers in India. They are experts in software development and help design and create custom Software solutions.
Deuglo follows seven steps methods for delivering their services to their customers. They called it the Software development life cycle process (SDLC).
Requirement — Collecting the Requirements is the first Phase in the SSLC process.
Feasibility Study — after completing the requirement process they move to the design phase.
Design — in this phase, they start designing the software.
Coding — when designing is completed, the developers start coding for the software.
Testing — in this phase when the coding of the software is done the testing team will start testing.
Installation — after completion of testing, the application opens to the live server and launches!
Maintenance — after completing the software development, customers start using the software.
Utilocate offers a comprehensive solution for locate ticket management by automating and streamlining the entire process. By integrating with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), it provides accurate mapping and visualization of utility locations, enhancing decision-making and reducing the risk of errors. The system's advanced data analytics tools help identify trends, predict potential issues, and optimize resource allocation, making the locate ticket management process smarter and more efficient. Additionally, automated ticket management ensures consistency and reduces human error, while real-time notifications keep all relevant personnel informed and ready to respond promptly.
The system's ability to streamline workflows and automate ticket routing significantly reduces the time taken to process each ticket, making the process faster and more efficient. Mobile access allows field technicians to update ticket information on the go, ensuring that the latest information is always available and accelerating the locate process. Overall, Utilocate not only enhances the efficiency and accuracy of locate ticket management but also improves safety by minimizing the risk of utility damage through precise and timely locates.

Our goals
●Whatever the platform
–A single development environment
–A single application model
–Be allowed to run an application without code generation
–Be allowed to use code generation but late in the development process
