Toro Y Moi recorded a live album titled "Live from Trona" in the Mojave Desert featuring unique live arrangements of songs from across his catalog along with new music and an expanded band lineup. The album was recorded beneath the Trona Pinnacles geological formations. A film was also created documenting the concert experience which reveals the filmmaking process and pays homage to rock films of a previous era. The film and album capture a surreal concert experience placing the viewer at a private Toro Y Moi show in the supernatural desert setting.
