3. #1 Jeff Bezos ($145B)
Jeffrey Preston Bezos Jorgensen; born January 12,
1964) is an American internet
entrepreneur, industrialist, media proprietor, and
investor. He is best known as the founder, CEO, and
president of the multi-national technology
company Amazon. The first centi-billionaire on
the Forbes wealth index, Bezos has been the world's
richest person since 2017 and was named the
"richest man in modern history" after his net
worth increased to $150 billion in July 2018. In
September 2018, Forbes described him as "far richer
than anyone else on the planet" as he added
$1.8 billion to his net worth when Amazon became
the second company in history to reach a market
cap of $1 trillion.

4. #2 Bill Gates ($104B)
William Henry Gates III (born October 28, 1955)
is an American business magnate, software
developer, investor, and philanthropist. He is
best known as the co-founder of Microsoft
Corporation. During his career at Microsoft,
Gates held the positions of chairman, chief
executive officer (CEO), president and chief
software architect, while also being the largest
individual shareholder until May 2014. He is one
of the best-known entrepreneurs and pioneers
of the microcomputer revolution of the 1970s
and 1980s.

5. #3 Bernard Arnault ($92B)
Bernard Jean Étienne Arnault ; born 5 March
1949) is a French billionaire businessman and
art collector. He is the chairman and chief
executive of LVMH Moët Hennessy – Louis
Vuitton SE, LVMH, the world's largest luxury-
goods company. In April 2018, he became the
richest person in fashion,
topping Zara's Amancio Ortega. Arnault briefly
surpassed Jeff Bezos to become the richest
person in the world in December of 2019. He
again became the world's richest person for a
short time in January 2020.

6. #4 Warren Buffett ($73B)
Warren Edward Buffett ; born August 30, 1930 is
an American investor, business tycoon, and
philanthropist, who is the chairman and CEO
of Berkshire Hathaway. He is considered one of
the most successful investors in the world and has
a net worthof US$88.9 billion as of December
2019, making him the fourth-wealthiest person in
the world. He attended New York Institute of
Finance to focus his economics background and
soon after began various business partnerships,
including one with Graham. He created Buffett
Partnership, Ltd in 1956 and his firm eventually
acquired a textile manufacturing firm
called Berkshire Hathaway, assuming its name to
create a diversified holding company..

7. #5 Mark Zuckerberg ($69B)
Mark Elliot Zuckerberg ; born May 14, 1984) is an
American media magnate, internet entrepreneur,
and philanthropist. He is known for co-
founding Facebook, Inc. and serves as its
chairman, chief executive officer, and controlling
shareholder. He also is a co-founder of the solar
sail spacecraft development project Breakthrough
Starshot and serves as one of its board members.
Born in White Plains, New York, Zuckerberg
attended Harvard University, where he launched
the Facebook social networking service from his
dormitory room on February 4, 2004, with college
roommates Eduardo Saverin, Andrew
McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes.

Lawrence Joseph Ellison (born August 17,
1944) is an American business magnate,
investor, and philanthropist who is a co-
founder and the executive chairman and
chief technology officer (CTO) of Oracle
Corporation. As of October 2019, he was
listed by Forbes magazine as the fourth-
wealthiest person in the United States and
as the sixth-wealthiest in the world, with a
fortune of $69.1 billion, increased from
$54.5 billion in 2018.

9. #7 Steve Ballmer ($63B)
Steven Anthony Ballmer ; born March 24,
1956) is an American businessman and investor
who was the chief executive
officer of Microsoft from January 13, 2000, to
February 4, 2014, and is the current owner of
the Los Angeles Clippers of the National
Basketball Association (NBA). As of May 2020, his
personal wealth is estimated at US
$63.6 billion, ranking him the 16th richest person
in the world. His tenure and legacy as Microsoft
CEO has received mixed reception, with the
company tripling sales and doubling profits, but
losing its market dominance and missing out
on 21st-century technology trends.

10. #8 Amancio Ortega ($61B)
Amancio Ortega Gaona ; born 28 March 1936) is
a Spanish billionaire businessman. He is the
founder and former chairman of Inditex fashion
group, best known for its chain of Zara clothing
and accessories shops. As of December 2019,
Ortega had a net worth of $68.3 billion, making
him the second-wealthiest person in Europe
after Bernard Arnault, and the sixth-wealthiest in
the world. For a brief period of time in 2015, he
was the richest man in the world, bypassing Bill
Gates when his net worth peaked to $80 billion
as Zara's parent company, Inditex 's, stock
peaked.He is the head of the Ortega family and
the second wealthiest retailer in the world.

11. #9 Larry Page ($58B)
Lawrence Edward Page (born March 26, 1973) is an
American computer scientist and Internet
entrepreneur. He is best known as one of the co-
founders of Google along with Sergey Brin. Page was
the chief executive officer of Alphabet Inc. (Google's
parent company) until stepping down on December
3, 2019. After stepping aside as Google CEO in
August 2001 in favor of Eric Schmidt, he re-assumed
the role in April 2011. He announced his intention to
step aside a second time in July 2015 to become CEO
of Alphabet, under which Google's assets would be
reorganized. Under Page, Alphabet sought to deliver
major advancements in a variety of industries. On
December 4, 2019, Page stepped down from his CEO
position from Alphabet.

12. #10 Jim Walton ($57B)
James Carr Walton (born June 7, 1948) is an heir
to the fortune of Walmart, the world's largest
retailer. As of March 2020, Walton was the 8th-
richest person in the world, with a net worth of
US$54.6 billion. He is the youngest son of Sam
Walton. Walton received a bachelor's
degree in Business
Administration in Marketing from the University of
Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas in 1971, where
he was also a member of the Lambda Chi
Alpha fraternity. In 1972, he joined Walmart and
was involved in its real-estate dealings. After
serving for four years, he moved to the family
owned Walton Enterprises as president in 1975.
