The world has changed: Product supply and demand is globalized and there is no putting the genie back in the bottle. The flow of goods from Asia to the west has created an economic dependency over the past ten years that will be exploited over the next ten. As China and India and other fast-developing economies become the primary global marketplaces, the needs and wishes of the 4bn new consumers will dominate those of the 800m old ones in the US and Europe. Mark Philips discusses the future of transport. He sees opportunities for more efficient vehicles in the next decade, many of which may be smaller than today's cars. Luxury brands may migrate to smaller platforms. Advancing fuel and power technologies will allow luxury cars to still offer the same travel experience but in a more environmentally friendly way. Traffic control systems like congestion charging will likely increase with an aging population and the need to manage traffic in crowded cities. Smart mobility through vehicle tracking and intelligent highways may converge to deliver the first phase of a global smart transport system in the next decade.

The document summarizes energy efficiency action planning in ASEAN. It discusses the ASEAN Centre for Energy and its role in promoting energy cooperation. It analyzes ASEAN's energy situation and outlook to 2030, finding that primary energy consumption and CO2 emissions will increase substantially without action. A regional energy efficiency action plan was developed with the goal of an 8% reduction in energy intensity by 2015. Individual country action plans also aim to reduce energy use. While the plans could help meet targets, continued strengthening of policies and cooperation is needed for effective implementation.

It provides examples of anti-patterns related to request parameters, response codes, and organizational structure of APIs. The document advocates for RESTful design practices and using HTTP methods and status codes as intended to clearly represent operations.

The presentation featured many photographs of the different hummingbird species encountered, including black-chinned hummingbirds, blue-throated hummingbirds, and broad-tailed hummingbirds. Special thanks were given to those who taught Hayden about birds and assisted with the project.
