This house belongs to a family member. The land it
stands on was once a factory. It was bought by
my great uncle and had it converted into a house.
After a few decades, they tore down the house
and constructed a new one which as we can see is
more modern and updated.
I chose this house to analyze mainly because it's
practical for me as I live near it and because I find
its facade interesting. I am also aware of its history
and how it has changed throughout the years.

BASCO LIGHTHOUSE
Basco Lighthouse is one of the three lighthouses proposed by former Congressman Florencio Abad of
Batanes, not only as working lighthouses, but possibly as tourist attractions. The other two are in Sabtang
and Mahatao. The Basco structure was the first completed in 2003. The location chosen is where the first
lighthouse of Basco was built. It was also the site of the American period telegraph facilities that
connected Batanes with the central government until it was destroyed by the Japanese Imperial Army
bombings at the start of World War II. A few of the buildings survived and some have been converted
into businesses like a café - resulting from the area becoming popular because of the lighthouse.
I chose this building because Batanes is one of the places that I want to visit and for
me, Basco Lighthouse is the best building that offers a spectacular view of the island
and beyond which will make me feel like I'm in a safe place and calm environment.

St. Andrew Cathedral, officially The Cathedral Parish of
St. Andrew and commonly referred to as the Parañaque
Cathedral, is one of the oldest churches in the
Philippines. It was established in 1580 by Spanish
Augustinian friars. The church is the seat of the Roman
Catholic Diocese of Parañaque, the local church that
comprises Parañaque City, Muntinlupa City, and Las
Piñas City.

HISTORY
The building was constructed as the Agriculture and Commerce
Building in 1940. It is designed in neoclassical style by Filipino
Architect Antonio Toledo in the late 1930, having the same
dimension and floor plan as its twin building located at the
northern side of the circle, the Finance Building.

PRISON
The New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa is the main insular penitentiary designed
to house the prison population of the Philippines. During Japanese
occupation of the Philippines during World War II, Bilibid was a prisoner of
war and civilian internee camp where American soldiers and civilians were
held by the Japanese. I chose this building because I am fascinated by the
fact that it was the largest prison here in the Philippines. As I analyze its front
elevation, it has 2 columns on each side of the main entrance that looks like a
tower because of its details.

The overall design of the building is inspired in American-Spanish design
considering that it was established by the spanish colonial government.

He has been instrumental in the Filipino's bid towards
independence and several developments in various sectors. Rizal
also made contributions to Philippine art, literature, and medicine,
which continues to fascinate his countrymen today. Rizal's love
for the Philippines was evident in nearly all his actions.

Reason: I chose this building because Jose Rizal is the
National Hero here in the Philippines as a tribute, I
want to draw the front elavation of Jose Rizal.

SHEIK MAKHDUM MOSQUE
Situated in Tubig Indangan in the island municipality of Simunul, Masjid Sheikh Karimul
Makhdum, now named after the Arab missionary, is the oldest mosque in the Philippines.
The original pillars which served as the foundation of Masjid Sheikh Karimul Makhdum are
well-preserved inside the mosque. These centuries-old pillars made from Ipil hardwood
showcases intricate designs.In 2013, President Benigno S. Aquino III signed the Republic
Act No. 10573 which declared Sheikh Karimul Makhdum Mosque as a National Historical
Landmark.
Sheikh Karimul Makhdum Mosque is a must visit for history-loving Filipinos and Muslim
faithfuls in the country.

MUNTINLUPA
is a five-story museum inspired by a salakab, a traditional fishing
trap used by Muntinlupa fishermen in the shores of Laguna de Bay.
It is the first city museum of its kind infusing history, interactivity,
and communal spaces. The museum is complete with interactive
galleries for children and kids-at-heart; a research center and
meeting spaces; and a state-of-the-art 200-seater theater.
Because of its design, which was inspired by the
salakab that originated in Laguna de Bay, where I was
born, I chose the Museo ng Muntinlupa.

is comparatively new (being established within the
twentieth century). Regardless of this, the city of Victoria
is the house to one of many oldest church ruins within
the nation. Positioned in Barrio Pagalangan are the ruins
from the primary San Antonio de Padua church.

Because this is our church in Victoria Laguna and I was
baptized here, I have many experiences in this church
because I have always been here since I was a child and
became a churchgoer when I was a high school student.
