Tito Torbellino grew up in Phoenix, Arizona helping his mother care for family after his father died when he was 8 years old. He worked various jobs after school and in fast food restaurants from a young age. While in high school, he was not interested in popular music but rather enjoyed Mexican music genres like norteña and corridos. He received his first accordion from his mother at age 14, which she purchased using money from selling ranch animals left to them by his late father in Obregón.
