curve.
3. Tips
1. Arielle Gold, a member of the United States 2014
Olympics team, recommends keeping one’s knees bent and
making toe-side and heel-side turns when descending a
mountain. This technique helps beginners stay on their feet.
2. In the same respect to the knees, half-pipe snowboarder
Gretchen Bleiler states that many people think they are
bending their knees too much. In actuality, an exaggerated
knee bend is better, and people should pretend they are
sitting in a chair when finding the right posture.
3. Two-time Olympian cross rider Nate Holland advises
riding on the edges of the board. A flat surface typically
results in a fall because a person will naturally catch an edge.
