Women Helping Women Symposium is a wonderful opportunity for the women of our community to come together and suppor The Spring, a local women\'s shelter while getting information and ideas that will help improve their lives in the areas of Stress Relief, Getting Healthy, Getting it All Together! Join us on May 30, 2009 from 11am-4pm at Side Splitters Comedy Club in Tampa!!
Do gooder of the week - moab sun news newsJan Radcliff
It's been a journey along life's highway, from my time at the Moab Chamber to where I am today. From my humble beginnings at the Moab Chamber, I have formed a high regards for the business community and the many aspects of their giving within the small community I live in.
The Inner Circle, Part 2 on a Sermon Series About FriendshipFordhammanor
The Inner Circle is part 2 of a sermon series on Friendship. The sermon was delivered by Pastor Joe Hernandez from Fordham Manor Church in the Bronx. The Sermon examines covenantal friendship from the persepective of David's relationship with Jonathan and Ruth's Relationship with Naomi.
Samaritan's Ruby Gala - Celebrating 40 Years of CaringSamaritan
Samaritan held its annual gala on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at The Crowne Plaza in Cherry Hill. This year the Hoey Family and Wolf Commercial Real Estate were presented with the Circle of Excellence Award. Kathy Orr, Fox 29 Philly weather anchor, served as special guest emcee.

Adjusting OpenMP PageRank : SHORT REPORT / NOTESSubhajit Sahu
For massive graphs that fit in RAM, but not in GPU memory, it is possible to take
advantage of a shared memory system with multiple CPUs, each with multiple cores, to
accelerate pagerank computation. If the NUMA architecture of the system is properly taken
into account with good vertex partitioning, the speedup can be significant. To take steps in
this direction, experiments are conducted to implement pagerank in OpenMP using two
different approaches, uniform and hybrid. The uniform approach runs all primitives required
for pagerank in OpenMP mode (with multiple threads). On the other hand, the hybrid
approach runs certain primitives in sequential mode (i.e., sumAt, multiply).

Discussion on Vector Databases, Unstructured Data and AI
https://www.meetup.com/unstructured-data-meetup-new-york/
This meetup is for people working in unstructured data. Speakers will come present about related topics such as vector databases, LLMs, and managing data at scale. The intended audience of this group includes roles like machine learning engineers, data scientists, data engineers, software engineers, and PMs.This meetup was formerly Milvus Meetup, and is sponsored by Zilliz maintainers of Milvus.
Techniques to optimize the pagerank algorithm usually fall in two categories. One is to try reducing the work per iteration, and the other is to try reducing the number of iterations. These goals are often at odds with one another. Skipping computation on vertices which have already converged has the potential to save iteration time. Skipping in-identical vertices, with the same in-links, helps reduce duplicate computations and thus could help reduce iteration time. Road networks often have chains which can be short-circuited before pagerank computation to improve performance. Final ranks of chain nodes can be easily calculated. This could reduce both the iteration time, and the number of iterations. If a graph has no dangling nodes, pagerank of each strongly connected component can be computed in topological order. This could help reduce the iteration time, no. of iterations, and also enable multi-iteration concurrency in pagerank computation. The combination of all of the above methods is the STICD algorithm. [sticd] For dynamic graphs, unchanged components whose ranks are unaffected can be skipped altogether.
