English 102 provided Tiffanny with thought-provoking readings that had hidden meanings and were difficult to analyze at first. Once she learned to analyze the works rather than just summarize them, she noticed more symbolism and found herself analyzing other media as well. The class also taught her about greater injustice in the world than she realized and that many authors write to ease their own pain by sharing stories of suffering, which helped her appreciate life more.

2. English 102 Readings English 102 had many thought provoking readings. All of the readings had hidden meanings and thoughts. Trying to understand and analyze these writings were difficult.

Learning to analyze One of the hardest things for me in English 102 was trying to analyze the work, not just summarize Once I was able to start analyze the work, a whole new world opened up for me. It made me notice so much more symbolism in the readings and in life. When I watch television and read books at home and I find myself analyzing the work. This is something that will follow me through life.

4. The injustice in the world I learned from this class that there is more injustice in the world than I could of ever imagined. I am appreciative for all that I have and can accomplish. Many people from the readings lived hard lives and still found the courage to go forward.

5. Many people write to easy their pain. This class has also taught me that people write to ease their own pain. Even though it is hard for some people to get their feelings across, they still manage to accomplish it. Normally I don’t read tragic stories and tales of suffering. This class has shown me that sometimes you need to read about suffering and injustice to appreciate life and all of its flaws.
