The sprawling medina in Fes contains hundreds of shops selling some of Morocco's best goods. Visitors should look for three items: leather goods made from goat, cow, and camel leather ranging in quality; argan products like argan oil used for cooking and cosmetics as argan trees grow abundantly in Southern Morocco; and traditional Berber rugs offered at a fraction of overseas prices.
