This document describes the Six Thinking Hats method for structured thinking and decision making. It involves considering an issue from six perspectives represented by colored hats: Red Hat focuses on emotions and feelings, White Hat focuses on objective facts, Green Hat focuses on creative thinking, Yellow Hat focuses on benefits and positives, Black Hat focuses on caution and negatives, and Blue Hat focuses on process and metacognition. The Six Thinking Hats method aims to break apart an issue, consider it from different angles in a structured way, and then summarize the thinking to reach a conclusion.
