CLASSMATE’S RESPONSE
If you go into the City of Milwaukee, it is a mess with shootings of young children, senseless auto deaths and just things that simply go against my grain. The Mayor has gained the 2020 Democratic Convention for Milwaukee through crazy spending habits for things that won't benefit the City as a whole and has his head in the sand when issues of lead in drinking water laterals, huge uptick of opioid deaths (15 in the city in one day) and homelessness. He claims he is going to have all of that cleaned up by the time the convention comes to town. My fear is he is going to shift the problems to other surrounding communities. There are several activist groups that are constantly pounding on the Mayor's door and for the most part the Mayor spends a great time in parody of the local newspaper as well as online articles.
We had a couple police officer involved deaths where one person was cognitively challenged and attacked the police officer that stopped to wake him from sleeping in a public area. Big marches were organized by the dead person's family, which later came to light that the same family through the dead person out of the house because he was too much of a hassle to deal. Then ended up profiting from his death in wrongful death lawsuits.
So, there was a great deal of negativity going on and some officials lost their elected seats as well as the police officer lost his job although the court cleared him.
There were positives as much as negatives, over the last year we lost 3 police officers and a fire lieutenant due to fatal gunfire from people at the scene. That brought the city together. Since then, Milwaukee has experienced several fatal and non-fatal shooting of young innocent bystander kids. The community has finally grown tired of this and are now cooperating with police in capturing these people. At one time, a shooter could get lost in the city that knows everyone. Those days have gone by.
My question always is, why does there have to be several tragedies happen for people to say enough is enough? I grew up in a different era where the establishment was question but authority or others were still respected. Where did that go?

Things I don’t like in the market class
I don’t like some things in the class market that I wasn't comfortable with those things. the first thing is your quizzes questions during the class because there were too difficult to answer them. Because when you taught us, we were writing your note and sometimes I didn't have time to complete your note. also, I don’t like when you give a fast speech because I’m international student and I am very slow at writing, so I cannot keep with you because you go to the next slide without completing my note. I don’t like the time you give the group to discuss the project because it is very short and as group we need more time.

the first thing I would like to change it to add all PowerPoint of all chapters of the class in the Moodle website. Also, I would change the quizzes grade because it would be better if there are all the same grade.
Things I suggest for the future classes
I suggest is to make different activity in class such as selling product to each other in the class and provide credits to the winner as smaller idea the final project to practice the final project and make it easier for all the class. I suggest that you provide a movie or YouTube movie about the market as an example and in the same time class will be more exiting for students. I suggest to add one more project and split the grade to half and half and take off the midterm exam because I realized that from the final project that market it is all about self-development instead of writing.

From almost all sides existentialism has been proclaimed a
movement of irrationalism. Political liberals contemn the
movement on this ground above all others. They will not
forget Heidegger’s brief involvement with Nazism and
sometimes argue that fascism would be the logical outcome if
the tenets of the movement were widely accepted. At the
same time Marxists often see in existentialism a last desperate
effort of the petite bourgeoisie, a group doomed by the
objective march of history but anxious for one last fling. One
Marxist, taking up this line of attack, called existentialism a
“carnival of subjectivity,” a charge which infuriated Sartre
and which his latest major work, Critique of Dialectical
Reason, was designed to answer.
On the other hand, a relatively large group of artists, writers,
intellectuals, and others have given unstinting praise to the
movement precisely because of what they take to be its
irrationalism. Members of the beat movement, which is a
degenerate form of existentialism for the weak-minded and
weak-willed products of America’s educational institutions,
presently prefer soporific dope to kicks, the in-itself to the
for-itself, Buddha to Sartre. But the Beats’ sympathy for
continental existentialism in so far as they see in it a sanction
for incoherence and self-pity will not be questioned.
It would, of course, be idle to deny the legitimacy of

Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202
