This document discusses research into mediated social touch using wearable devices. It describes projects that allow people to remotely touch someone over a distance, including a sleeve that mediates social touch and a soft pillow interface for collaborative gaming. The goal of adding tactile feedback is to give a more intuitive way to communicate over a distance by including another modality beyond just sight.
