Executive Summary

Ecore Global is offering an innovative paint-on thermal barrier, ThermBlock, which provides an average of 20~50%
A/C and heating cost savings on commercial and residential properties. The cost savings can be seen as much
as 80%, depending on the condition and location of properties. This very unique paint reduces heat from the sun
and makes the inside of a building cool in a hot climate. In addition, ThermBlock traps heat and keeps the inside
of a building warm in a cold climate.

History:
ThermBlock was developed by a Japanese architect who managed a franchising restaurant development like
Denny’s in Japan. His idea was to cut the cost of expenses to run a restaurant by reducing A/C and heating
systems and provide energy saving performance. After years of research and development, he developed his
original binder to hold extra micro hollow beads in paint, which performs a thermal barrier better than any
competitor product. Ecore Global directly works with the manufacturer and is the exclusive distributor in North
America.

Features:
   • Saves energy bill by the average of 20~50%
   • Reflects over 90% of Solar heat
   • Last an average of 15 years
   • Contains 0.04MG/Litter Formaldehyde content (Low/Zero VOC)
   • Provides unsurpassed thermal insulation

Applications:
Applying ThermBlock to the OUTSIDE of a building. Applying ThermBlock to the INSIDE of a building.

Executive Summary

Energy Saving Performance Comparison:
The calculations below are converted ThermBlock performance to dollar amount, by running A/C for 9 hours a day,
25 days a month for 4 months.

                        9Hr/Day × 25Day/Month × 4Month × $/Kwh × 0.75(Sunny Day: 75%)

 Example 1: Colored Galvanized Metal---5,000m2 (53,820sqft) Outside Temperature:26℃(78.8F)

Keep the attic temperature to 28℃ (82.4F):
Roof surface temperature is 47℃ (116.6F) without ThermBlock coating:
                   4.22 × 5,000 × (47℃ - 28℃) = 400,900kcal ← Reduction Required
Roof surface temperature is 30℃ (86F) with ThermBlock coating:
                   4.22 × 5,000 × (30℃ – 28℃) = 42,200kcal ← Reduction required
By applying ThermBlock on a roof:
                   400,900kcal – 42,200kcal = 358,700kcal (89%) ← Reduction by ThermBlock

Calculating the reduction in dollar amount:
          (358,700kcal/Hr÷860kcal) × 9 × 25 × 4 × 0.17 × 0.75 ≒ $47,861 ←SAVINGS

 Example 2: Corrugated metal Clad---5,000 ㎡(53,820sqft) Outside temperature:25℃(77F)

Keep the attic temperature to 24℃ (75.2F):
Roof surface temperature is 38℃ (100.4F) without ThermBlock coating:
                   6.45 × 5,000 × (38℃-24℃) = 451,500kcal ← Reduction Required
Roof surface temperature is 29℃ (84.2F) with ThermBlock coating:
                   6.45 × 5,000 × (29℃-24℃) = 161,250kcal ← Reduction Required
By applying ThermBlock on a roof:
                   451,500kcal – 161,250kcal = 290,250kca(64%) ← Reduction by ThermBlock

Calculating the reduction in dollar amount:
          (290,250kcal/Hr÷860kcal) × 9 × 25 × 4 × 0.17 × 0.75 ≒ $38,728.13 ← SAVINGS

※ The calculation above shows roof temperature reduction efficiency by ThermBlock in dollar amount.
Actual energy cost savings vary upon the condition and location of properties. .

As traditional paint replacement:
Depending on the condition and location of properties, ThermBlock can be applied to the outside or inside of a
building to receive maximum effect. ThermBlock’s spectacular features significantly reduce energy cost by the
average of 20~50% and save time and effort to repaint as ordinal paint only lasts 7~8 years. ThermBlock can be
applied to where ordinal paint is applied by rollers, brushes and airless sprayers.

ThermBlock is new in North America. However, ThermBlock has been applied to hundreds of places in Japan
and showed great results. ThermBlock is exclusively imported and distributed by Ecore Global. As our first step,
Ecore Global is looking for projects in the west coast and contractors/distributors to promote ThermBlock in their
regions nationwide.
