 If the theft is not more than 100 times
the minimum wage, the penalty is up
to two years in prision and penalty fee
100 minimum wages.
 If the theft is more than 100 minimum
wages but less than 500, the penalty is
two to five years in prision and penalty
fee 100 up to 180 minimum wages.
 If the theft is more than 500 wages the
penalty is 4 to 10 years in prision and
penalty fee 180 to 500 minimum
wages.

In the first quarter of the year, the CDMX recorded 23,400 cases of
