There are leaders, and then there's everyone else. At ZAMANI CAPITAL,
we take immense pride in driving the industry standards forward,
focusing on efficiency, quality, and safety.
ZAMANI CAPITAL concentrates on funding and spearheading project
management of infrastructure projects such as roads, railroads, power
stations (coal-fired and hydro) and various buildings in MONGOLIA .
Each project is followed individually by locals who have in depth
knowledge of the technical constraints, legal environment and
economic variables.

Founder and CEO at
Zamani Capital

In order to harmonize and bring together all the projects in
Mongolia under one roof, Ivaylo Velikov created Zamani
Capital in 2014.
The concept behind the company being that in today’s
economic environment it easier to obtain financial backing
from Banks, Funds and Family Offices under one holding
federated by a single name and based on the founder’s
reputation than facing an uphill struggle to start from
scratch for each project. Current compliance requirements
place an immense burden on borrowers who must comply
to the whims of each lender and provide a never ending list
of administrative documents. This compliance will have
already been completed thereby saving time and energy.
Ivaylo Velikov’s past success in promoting a number of
projects in Russian Federation,Bulgaria,Portugal ,Thailand
and Spain convinced him that the way forward was to work
from a single entity.
ZAMANI CAPITAL federates all the projects and in close
cooperation with specialists each in their own domain a
complete package can be put together to answer all
project bearers requirements. This can be from a financial,
technical or operational point of view.

Why Zamani Capital?
What separates Zamani Capital from similar
companies is that we bring American and
European business models and conservation ethics
to the table. Far more than our competitors, who
have a tradition of exploiting Mongolia’s natural
resources, leaving the land spoiled and polluted
and the people not that much richer, Mongolia
Group emphasizes the “quadruple bottom line”:
profit, people, planet, purpose. This form of Natural
Capitalism, or the interrelationship between
producing human-made capital and the
maintenance and supply of natural capital, is
critical to our business practices. Regarding profit,
Zamani Capital has agreements in place for
projects that total over US $ 1 billion. Our project
partners will gain substantial financial benefits,
especially if they take an equity share in any given
project. Regarding people, we would pay native
Mongolian workers a fair wage and ensure that
they had safe working conditions for the life of the
project. Most projects we will engage in will last a
minimum of four years. Many Mongolians will have
the opportunity to work on other projects we fund
as long as they are willing to move to either
temporary or fixed housing on or near the project
site.
Regarding the planet, we will hire socially and
environmentally responsible design, engineering,
and construction firms for all our projects. For
example, even though we have been asked to
fund and develop a 1.2 gigawatt coal-fired power
plant, that plant would employ the world’s cleanest
technology and equipment, a huge improvement
over the outdated, Soviet-era power plants that are
constantly disrupting power to Mongolia’s capitol.
Mongolia rests between two superpowers--Russia
and China. The country must develop its vast
resources mindfully in order to protect its strategic
position. To create a sustainable economy,
Mongolia needs to move from traditional modes of
production (e.g., Soviet-era coal-fired power
plants), which are inefficient, unreliable, and pollute
the air and water, to systems that grow the
economy while protecting the people and
environment. Zamani Capital can partner with the
Mongolian government to find and fund project
that showcase the power, efficiency, and
profitability of sustainable business management.
