Global Need for Water Stops
According to Wise Guy Reports, the market demand for water stops around the world is set to increase
by almost $3 billion by 2025. In 2017, the estimated value was around $1.9 billion. Between these
periods, the compound annual growth rate will be 5.11%.
While the demand is global, the highest need will be in the Asia-Pacific region and then by the Middle
East and North America. The trend declines in Latin America and Eastern Europe. In Africa, the lack of
more knowledge about the product prevents consumers from investing in it.
In Australia, the construction industry would need these products the most. This sector reached 56
points at the beginning of the year. This was based on the performance construction index of the
Australian Industry Group (AIG). Based on its system, points higher than 50 indicate improvements in
activity.
3. The residential projects, meanwhile, lead the construction boom. In the same report, the index point of
houses reached 61.8. It was almost 10 points higher than the previous month. Apartments followed,
which received 56.9 or 6.2 change from February 2018.
Population growth and housing shortage are two of the reasons for the growth of housing projects. In
2016, the annual population change in the country was 1.4%. This was higher than that of the United
States and Canada.
Besides construction, other water stop-dependent industries grew over the past year. According to Seek
Insights & Resources, the mining, resources, and energy sector advertised over 17,000 new roles. It also
had a job ad growth of more than 65%. Engineering was another lucrative field with an increase in job
postings of 26.7%. At least 12,000 new roles were opened.
These industries are the foundations of Australia’s economy. As long as they remain that way, and grow
over time, the demand for water stops will only flourish.
