This document contains "The Paradoxical Commandments" written by Kent M. Keith in 1968. The commandments consist of contradictory statements about how people may treat you if you are kind, successful, honest, build things that could be destroyed, find happiness, or do good deeds. However, each statement is followed by the phrase "Do it anyway", encouraging the reader to act with kindness, honesty and goodwill regardless of how others may respond. The overall message is that one's relationship is with God, not other people, so you should follow your conscience and do good even if you do not receive recognition or gratitude from others.

Calcutta, as a copy was on her wall, but it was written
by Kent M. Keith when he was 19, and first
published by the Harvard Student Agencies in 1968.

and self-centered;
Forgive them

frank, people may cheat you;

6. What you spend years
building, someone may destroy
overnight;
Build anyway.

7. If you find
serenity and
happiness, other

8. The good you do
today, people will often forget
tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

9. Give the world the best you
have, and it may never be enough;
