Warren Buffett is an American business magnate, investor, and philanthropist. He is considered the most successful investor of the 20th century. Buffett started his career in investment sales and then worked as a securities analyst before launching his own partnership in 1956. He took control of Berkshire Hathaway in 1970 which he grew into a massive multinational conglomerate. Some of Berkshire's major holdings include Wells Fargo, Coca-Cola, IBM, and American Express. Buffett follows a value investing strategy and advises focusing on businesses even a fool can run. He has received numerous honors for his investing success and philanthropic contributions.
