12. AND easy to use
THE The Careers Guides site will be designed and built by our in-
house design and technology team, with 2 page types:
The Landing Page: An overview of the individual Careers Guide
for each industry we are launching this year will be accessible
through this page, along with a brief description of how the
Careers Guides are structured and what their purpose is.
The Careers Guides: Each industry will have a single-webpage
Careers Guide in association with a single partner employer.
The page will contain role-by-role information, insights,
experiences and job opportunities. The design and structure of
these pages will natively put the partner employer front of
mind at all times and drive click-throughs to their site.

13. THE Each Careers Guide will lead with a short introduction to the
industry and will be co-branded with the partner employer,
featuring a 100% viewable logo and CTA to their grad site.
Users will be able to toggle between information, insights,
experiences and job opportunities for each of the archetypal
roles in the industry. For example, in Advertising the options
would be Account Executive, Creative and so on.
Every role in every industry will be explained in detail with
fact-checked stats and first-hand accounts from a range of
recent graduates (all employees of the partner employer).

14. Information and INSIGHT
role-by-role
THE ROLE
A concise, jargon-free and
enticing summary of each
role and what type of
person it’s a great fit for.
WHAt you’ll
learn
Students are hungry for
roles which allow them to
learn transferable skills
and gain domain expertise.
SALARY bands
Money is not the most
important factor for most
graduates - but it’s still
extremely important.
HOURS
No generalised or broad
descriptions, like “long” or
“flexible” hours. Expected
working hours in numbers.
training
What will you be trained up
on? How long will it take?
What is the likely format?
What can you do with it in
the future?
progression
The most important factor
for many graduates. A
step-by-step pathway
section for every role.
culture
Often ignored, critically
important - particularly
for diversity. Honesty is
key here.
skill markers
A selection of custom-
created icons will indicate
the different skills required
for each role.
experiences
Trustworthy, relatable,
first-hand accounts of life
in the role from the partner
employer’s recent grads.
day-to-day
An hour-by-hour
breakdown of an average
day is a key insight students
have never had before.
15. Each partner employer will be guaranteed a
minimum number of views and click-throughs
from the Careers Guide for their industry
The Tab’s 2018 Careers Guides will be launched on 1st October. They
will be discovered by students and graduates via social, search and on
thetab.com - attracting a mix of passive/active potential applicants.
Our ambition is to make The Tab’s Careers Guides the most trusted,
influential and widely read graduate careers guides in the UK.
