Understanding the Bible.
Charles Steinmetz was an electrical engineer of towering
intellect who upon retiring was asked to locate a
malfunction in the machinery of a major electrical appliance
manufacturer. None of their own experts had been able to
find the problem. He spent time walking around and testing
the piece of machinery within the complex. After some time
he took a piece of chalk out of his pocket and marked an X
on a particular part of one machine.

18. The manufacturers people disassembled the machinery
and to their amazement discovered that the problem
lay precisely where the chalk mark had been put.
Some days later the manufacturer received a bill from
Steinmetz for ten thousand dollars. They protested at
the amount and asked for it to be itemised. He sent the
itemised bill back:
