Sound of Mosquito making an entrance…..nyeee..nyeeeee…nyeeee..

Good afternoon to honourable judges, teachers and all my fellow
friends. I am ____________________. Today I would like to tell
all of you facts about “The Mosquito”.

Well do u know who I am? ... sucking blood (watermelon juice)
nyam ….. nyam….
I am a female mosquito. Only the female mosquitoes bite humans to
feed on their blood. This is because they need blood to help their
eggs to grow. Female mosquitoes usually feed on blood in the dark.
They prefer to do so. The male mosquitoes never feed on the blood
of humans. Other than the juice of fruits, they feed on the nectar
of flowers.
The mosquito is a good flyer. It can fly in different ways. It can
fly sideways, backwards and even upside down. One cannot notice a
mosquito doing so easily unless one observes carefully. The mosquito
is very light and seems weightless. The mosquito uses its snout from
its sheath to suck the blood. It punctures the skin with it. The
mosquito pushes its snout deep enough till it reaches the blood. The
snout has many parts. Two of it is used for feeding. There are very
tiny tubes where one is smaller than the other.
Before the mosquito starts to suck the blood, saliva dribbles down
its smaller tube. This saliva thins the blood enough for it to suck the
blood through its bigger tube. After a human gets bitten, the
mosquito flies away. The saliva left under the human skin makes
them itchy. A tiny red bump appears on human skin. Later the
mosquito will go and search for still water to lay eggs. Still water is
good breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
Well my friend before I end my story here is another interesting
facts about mosquito. Most mosquitoes are not harmful to us. There
are some though which are dangerous. They are usually carrier of
diseases. One such mosquito is the Anopheles mosquito that carries
the disease malaria. It sucks the blood of a person who has malaria.
Then it passes it to the next person which it bites through its saliva.
“Hmmm…I am feeling hungry now”. “Time for me to leave now”. That
is all for now. I hope you had learned and gained the information and
also the interesting facts about mosquitoes. Thank you once again
for lending your ears.
Thank You and Bye Bye.
