• The moon seems to
  change shape.
• The moon moves
  around the Earth.
• The moon is partly lit by
  the sun.

• The moon seems to
  change shape because
  we see the lighted part
  in different amounts.
• It takes about one month
  for the moon to change
  from beginning to end.
• New Moon means we
  don’t see any light from
  the moon.

• The moon looks different
  at each phase.
• The full moon looks like
  a full circle.
• Half of the moon is lit up
  by the sun.
• You can’t see the moon
  when the lit part faces
