Luke presents Jesus as the perfect man, introducing him to the Greeks who valued perfection, science, and knowledge. The passage from Luke 2:11-14 describes the angels praising God and declaring glory to God and peace on earth at Jesus's birth, identifying him as the perfect man come to earth. It discusses how Luke's gospel portrays Jesus as a human being through references to his birth in a manger and genealogy tracing back to Adam.
How you talk to people about Jesus depends on what they already know.
There are four great facts that must be communicated. He was completely human. He was more than a great teacher. He overcame death. Your spiritual encounter with Him today.

Sermon Slide Deck: "The Glory Of Jesus, The Son Of God" (Luke 9:28-36)New City Church
To understand Jesus rightly is to see him as the authoritative revelation of God to whom we should listen.
This message was given on June 15, 2014 at New City Church Calgary by Pastor John Ferguson. www.newcitychurch.ca
This is a study of Jesus as the one to keep our eyes on. Make Him the focus of our minds and be thinking of Him often and not just rarely as in church.

CIA's Study
Subject: KNOWLEDGE OF JESUS
Theme: JESUS, THE PERFECT MAN
4th CLASS
Fundamental text: Luke 2:11-14
2. “ And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the
heavenly host praising God and saying:? Glory to God in
the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!
Luke 2:13-14
”
The text we read that reveals Jesus as perfect man.
3. Jesus, The Perfect Man
Luke presents Jesus as the perfect
man and introduces him to the
Greeks, being himself Greek so
understood his interest for
perfection, for science and
knowledge of people. The Greeks
were scholars and interested in
details.
4. Luke is the one who narrates the birth of Jesus in
detail, in detail. The account of the annunciation of the
birth by the angels in chapter 2 is rich, beautiful.
"And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of
the heavenly host praising God and saying: Glory to God
in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!"
Luke 2:13-14
5. Text that identifies that Jesus came to earth as a
man, is in Luke
"And this shall be a sign unto
you: ye shall find the babe
wrapped in swaddling clothes and
lying in a manger." Luke 2:12
6. While Jesus, as a human being, was a manger, a heavenly host of
angels gave glory and hallelujah for the perfect man who was seen in
the figure of a newborn.
Glory to God in the highest
Gratitude to God the Father through Jesus Holiness as a man to die for sinful
man.
Peace on Earth
The Holiness of Jesus brought us peace when he died on the cross, the peace
of Jesus came into our hearts.
good will toward men
God father had mercy to send his Holy Son, to save the sinner.
7. Jesus, Man
Luke tells the genealogy of Jesus. Presents him as a man and says: "... being, as was
supposed, the son of Joseph ..." (Lk 3:23). It ends thus: "... Adam and Adam to God." (Luke
3:38). It is the origin of man. Adam represents the human race.
And Jesus? He was born as a man, the same genealogy of Adam, but Perfect, Eternal Word, God, Holy!
1st Adam Sinner Man
2nd Adam Perfect Man
Hallelujah!
8. Luke is the speaker of the paralytic who was healed by the Lord
Jesus and says he has established himself in his toes (ankle). From a
medical standpoint Lucas is thorough to the Greeks because they
liked it. Colossians 4:14 "greets you Luke, the beloved physician ..."
confirms that Luke was a physician
So Luke, inspired by the Holy Spirit, Jesus writes as Perfect Man.
