The 8th annual free Thanksgiving dinner will be held on November 19, 2011, at Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Elk Grove Village, providing a traditional feast for those in need, including hand-carved turkey and various side dishes. Reservations are required for the event, which features entertainment such as music and a Boy Scout flag ceremony. The dinner is supported by numerous local sponsors and organized by community volunteers to serve senior citizens and individuals who may be alone on Thanksgiving.
